las vegas is the most populated city within nevada, and the 28th most populated city within the united states. in 2010 it was estimated that 1,951,269 people lived within the las vegas metropolitan area; which includes the paradise, and winchester, nevada better known as the las vegas strip, las vegas, north las vegas, and henderson, nevada.
las vegas has dubbed itself as the entertainment capital of the world, and with the amount of casinos, places of entertainment and fine dining establishments it is quite possible that it is, in fact, just that. over the last few years though vegas has become more family friendly, and more families and retirees are moving into the city.
